VALEDICTORY AND FAREWELL FUNCTION DATE : 05.04.2025

Department of Mathematics organized Valedictory and Farewell function for the outgoing batch (2022-2025) of B.Sc. Mathematics students was held on 5th April 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Physics Lab. The event was organized by the Department of Mathematics with enthusiasm, love, and respect towards the final year students. The program began with a warm Welcome Address delivered by Ms. G. Guga Priya from I B.Sc. Mathematics,

The Presidential Address was given by our respected Principal,

Dr. A. Mohanasundaram, who emphasized the value of hard work, discipline, and continued learning. He wished the final year students success in all their future endeavors.

          The Felicitation address was delivered by Dr. CHI. Nanjappa, Vice Principal felicitated the programme. He spoke about the importance of maintaining strong character and values, especially as the students step out into the wider world.

          Mr. P. Arokya Raj, the Head of the Department of Mathematics, addressed the students next. In his speech, he highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the final year students and acknowledged their contribution to the department. This was followed by heartfelt and encouraging speeches from the faculty Members, who reminisced about shared experiences and gave their blessings and best wishes to the students. The III B.Sc. Mathematics students then took to the stage to share their memories, thank their teachers, and express their emotions on leaving their beloved institution. The event also featured Cultural Performances by the  students from the I and III years, adding joy and color to the occasion and providing a lively and emotional send-off to the final year students.

Finally, the event concluded with a sincere Vote of thanks addressed by

Ms. S. Bhavani from I B.Sc. Mathematics, who thanked the dignitaries, faculty, and students for making the event a memorable one.

Industrial Visit to Aavin Dairy 04.02.2025

An industrial visit to the Aavin Dairy was organized by the Department of Mathematics on 01.02.2025 to provide students with real-world exposure to the operations of a leading dairy manufacturing plant. The visit started at 10:00 a.m. with a warm welcome from Mrs. Vanitha, the factory representative. The students were divided into small groups for an in-depth tour of the facility. The following aspects were covered during the visit:

Milk Processing: The importance of maintaining strict hygiene standards  

throughout the processing cycle to ensure safe, high-quality dairy products.

Quality Control: Regular testing and monitoring at multiple stages of production to guarantee the purity of products.

Automation: Advanced technologies such as automated sorting and packaging systems have greatly improved operational efficiency and product consistency.

Sustainability: Aavin’s focus on eco-friendly practices, both in production and distribution, showcases their commitment to a sustainable dairy industry.

Logistics: Efficient logistics and distribution channels ensure timely delivery and availability of products in the market.

The industrial visit to Aavin Dairy was an enriching experience for both staff and students. It provided practical exposure to the operations of a dairy factory and highlighted the importance of quality control, technology, and sustainability in the industry. The Extension activity was coordinated by the Department Head Mr. P. Arokyaraj and Co-Ordinator Mr. L. Sridhar Assistant Professor and 15 students gained valuable insights that will aid in their academic and professional growth.

கிராம சபை விழிப்புணர்வு பேரணி (25.01.2025)

கணிதத்துறை சார்பாக கிராம சபைக் கூட்டத்தின் விழிப்புணர்வு பேரணி கிராம சபையில் இணைவோம்; உலக சபையில் ஒளிர்வோம்! என்னும் தலைப்பில் கவுந்தப்பாடி கிராம ஊராட்சியில் (25.01.2025) அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இப்பேரணியை கவுந்தப்பாடி கிராம ஊராட்சி தனி அலுவலர், கவுந்தப்பாடி கிராம ஊராட்சி செயலாளர், துணை வட்டார வளர்ச்சி அலுவலர், கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் ஆ.மோகனசுந்தரம் மற்றும் துணை முதல்வர் முனைவர் சி.நஞ்சப்பா ஆகியோர் துவக்கி வைத்தனர். இப்பேரணி கவுந்தப்பாடி ஊராட்சி மன்றத்தில் தொடங்கி முக்கிய தெருக்கள் வழியாக வந்து இறுதியில் ஊராட்சி மன்றத்தில் நிறைவு பெற்றது. இப்பேரணியில் மாணவர்கள் அப்பகுதி மக்களுக்கு கிராம சபையில் பங்கேற்பதன் அவசியத்தையும் அதில் நிறைவேற்றப்படும் தீர்மானங்களின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும் பதாகைகள் மூலம் தெரியப்படுத்தினர். இந்த விழிப்புணர்வு பேரணியை கணிதத்துறை உதவி பேராசிரியர்கள் ஆரோக்கியராஜ், கவிதா மற்றும் நாகரத்தினம் ஆகியோர் ஒருங்கிணைத்தனர். இப்பேரணியில் 35 மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தினர்.

“ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN MATHEMATICS” 22.01.2025

Department of Mathematics organized Seminar entitled Artificial Intelligence in Mathematicson 22.01.2025. Dr. A. Mohanasundaram, Principal delivered the presidential address. He emphasized the importance of Artificial Intelligence in Mathematics and its potential to revolutionize the field. Dr. CHI. Nanjappa, Vice Principal felicitated the programme. He discussed the latest advancements in AI.  The chief guest introduction given by Mr. P. Arokyaraj Head and Department of Mathematics.

She delivered a comprehensive lecture on the AI and its applications in Mathematics, including machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing. Totally 42 students Benefied in this programme.

THINK OR SINK- 06/07/24 (EXTENSION ACTIVITY)

Mr. A. MUTHUVEL, Head Master, Govt Hr School, MANIYAKARAN PUDUR, Erode was the Resource Person for the mathematical game. Totally, 250 students participated in that Mathematical Game & Winners are appreciated by small prizes Finally, Mr. P. AROKYARAJ, Head of the Department Department of Mathematics proposed the vote of thanks for this programme.

HANDS ON TRAINING ON GEOGEBRA-12-09-24

Mrs. S. Mayuri, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, P.K.R Arts College for women, Gobichettipalayam, Erode was the Resource person. She clearly explained the features applications and benefits of Geogebra. Showcasing its potential in transforming math learning and teaching.The interactive session included live demonstrations, examples, Questions and Answers. Mathematics department students were participated in this program and they were benefitted about the usage of mathematical analysis through this program.

PLASTICS IN OUR DAILY LIFE – 30-08-2024

Mrs. K. S. Malathi, Assistant Professor & Hod i/c of Chemistry was the Resource Person. She delivered a comprehensive lecture on the ubiquity of plastics in everyday lives, the environmental impact, health implications, and social economic aspects. Totally 29 students were participated in this program and they were benefitted about the usage of graph theory through this program

BASIC GRAPH WITH GRIN – 31-07-2024

Dr. G. Priyadharshini, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Kongu Arts and Science College, Perundurai, Erode was the Chief Guest. She clearly explained the “Usage of Graph theory and How to use it in Grin Software”. Totally 35 students were participated in this program and they were benefitted about the usage of graph theory through this program
